The AT32F406 series are based on the high-performance ARM®Cortex® -M4F 32-bit RISC coreoperating at a frequency of up to 216 MHz. The Cortex® -M4F core features a single-precision Floating Point Unit (FPU) supporting all ARM® single-precision data processing instructions and data types. It also implements a full set of DSP instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) that enhances application security.

The AT32F406 series incorporate high-speed on-chip memories, including up to 512 Kbytes of Flash memory, 192 Kbytes of SRAM, and 26 Kbytes of boot memory that can be used as a Bootloader or as a general instruction/data memory (one-time-configurable) to achieve the maximum of 512+26 Kbytes, as well as 4 Kbytes of OTP data storage space. Any block of the embedded Flash memory can be protected by the ¡°sLib¡± (security library), functioning as a security area with code-executable only. In addition, the AT32F406 devices include a high-level memory extension: quad SPI memory interface (QSPI).

The AT32F406 series offer three 12-bit ADC, seven general-purpose 16-bit timers plus one general-purpose 32-bit timer, two basic timers, one advanced timer and one low-power ERTC. They also feature standard and advanced communication interfaces: up to three I2Cs, eight SPIs (multiplexed as half-duplexed I2Ss), six USARTs, two UARTs, one infrared transmitter.

The AT32F406 series operate in the -40 to +105 ¡ãC temperature range, from a 2.4 to 3.6 V power supply. A comprehensive set of power-saving mode allows the design of low-power application.

The AT32F406 devices are supplied in different package types. They are almost pin-to-pin (except for a few exceptions), software and functionally compatible throughout the AT32F406 series, except that the configurations of peripherals are not fully identical depending on the package types.
